Scott seemed ok at first. Towards the end he was quite unsympathetic with wanting to perform extensive renovations less than a month before we were to move out. He made vague threats about our security deposit when we were unable to accommodate. Most importantly he had us send him last months rent again after already paying it upfront as an "additional security deposit that we would get back" this is illegal and I made the mistake of trusting him rather than doing research. He then told us we wouldn't receive any money from the deposit. After calling him out on several laws he violated he gave back an insufficient amount of money that didn't even reflect the amount we put down. He has refused to admit any wrongdoing and has stopped cooperating with us. I can not recommend renting from him.
